Wine & Cheese of the Week - Frank Family & Point Reyes Toma

Frank Family Vineyards

We loved the wine over at Frank Family. We had a great time in their tasting room, but I've heard mixed reviews from some other people. Either way, I think it's worth a visit because the wine is awesome. They're dog friendly, no appointment necessary, and they have a great picnic area. The owner, Rich Frank, was a big Hollywood exec so there's tons of great memorabilia on the walls. We literally liked everything we tasted:
Champagne Blanc de Blancs - $42.50
2010 Napa Chardonnay - $32.50
2009 Reserve Pinot Noir, Carneros - $57.50
2008 Napa Cabernet - $49.75
2009 Napa Zinfandel - $36.75
2008 Rutherford Reserve Cabernet - $85

Point Reyes Toma

Point Reyes Farmstead Cheese Company is one of the many things that make Point Reyes one of the coolest places ever. Most people know them for their blue cheese, but the toma is just as delicious. The toma is sweet and buttery and perfect with a glass of robust red wine.
