Shanghai

It was pretty trippy to go straight from the tiny town of Ping An to Shanghai with a population of 23 million people. The city was way more beautiful and delicious than we had anticipated. We stayed in the French Concession neighborhood and we LOVED it. The most beautiful tree lined streets dotted with adorable tiny restaurants, boutiques and food stalls. We loved Shanghai so much that we definitely plan on going back in the future.

SPICY JOINT! Home of one of the best meals of entire lives. Very popular among locals and very difficult to get in.
Catfish poached in a huge bowl of toasted chili oil. The fish literally melts in your mouth and the flavor of the chili oil is just bonkers.
Quite possibly the best spicy mapo tofu on the planet. Thinking of Doug and Lisa...
