A croque madame is my absolute favorite sandwich in life. It's just a ham and cheese sandwich with an egg on top. You see 'em all over the place, but very few do one as well as Bouchon. The croque at Bouchon is serious business. Starts out with thick slices of freshly baked, buttery brioche. Layer on some tasty ham and high quality Gruyere. Top it off with a farm fresh egg and creamy bechamel sauce and you have yourself something that is truly dreamy.
While the sandwich was amazing, our entire dinner was exceptional and made us wonder why we don't go to Bouchon more often. We will be back soon!
